The City of Algood’s Brush collection runs year around. We ask that you PLEASE follow these safety rules when placing brush to the curb for collection.
. Place brush as close to the curb or side of street as possible in neat piles with pieces no longer than 6 ft in length.
. DO NOT place brush in ditches, around or on top of structures such as mail boxes, meter lid,
utility lines or poles, fire hydrants, fences, etc.
. DO NOT place brush in the street, as this is a traffic hazard.
. Foreign debris other than brush does not need to be mixed in to the pile and will result in brush not being picked up.
There is not a schedule of when streets are serviced. Brush is collected by areas every couple of weeks (weather permitting).
Commercial cut brush by a private contractor is not eligible for pick up and should be hauled off by the contractor. Brush pick up is intended to be a service provided for materials cut from the property by the owner.
Residents may call City Hall at 931-537-9545 ext 3 to notify Public Works of a need for pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.
