* Please note Fees for Road Repair to be billed after the Utility work is complete. This time will be billed at $50 per hour plus any materials needed.

Residential Garbage Collection Services are provided weekly when the following regulations are followed:

Refuse must be placed in the city provided 96 gallon rolling container with the lid fully closed and not overflowing.  The rolling container must be at curb side by 7:00 AM on the morning of collection.  Please contact 931.537-9545 to determine your scheduled day or for further information.  Rules and Regulations for Residential Trash are governed by Ordinance 572-13.

Items that are too bulky for the container may be taken to one of the Putnam County Convenience Centers or landfill.  Recyclable items can be taken to the recycling center located on Church St next to the LBJC Head Start Facility.

On Holidays observed by the City (see below), residents are notified by a note on their water bill, Facebook, and postings at City Hall.  When a legal holiday falls on Saturday, offices will be closed on Friday.  When a legal holiday falls on Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday.  Please check one of the above mentioned locations for actual date of trash pick-up on holidays or call City Hall.

Commercial Waste Collection services are provided to businesses for a fee. The dumpsters may be purchased or rented for $75/per month. The City of Algood offers a flexible scheduling for pickup. Dumpster pickups are $25 each. Applications for Commercial Pickup are available online or at City Hall. Ordinance 690-22
