Algood Public Works Department is a unique part of the City of Algood. Public Works is staffed by eleven (11) employees . We are proud to provide high quality services to the residents of the city through three separate divisions: Street, Water and Sewer, and Sanitation.
City of Algood Public Works – Street Department
The Algood Street Department is responsible for the street right-of-way maintenance and sidewalk repairs, animal control, drainage, brush removal, leaf removal, and snow removal. Any requests for assistance in any of these areas can be made at (931)537-9545 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
City of Algood Public Works – Water and Sewer
The Algood Water and Sewer Department is responsible for water lines, sewer lines and pump stations, and water quality control. We are committed to providing superior service to the citizens of Algood. To report a leak or problem call (931)537-9545 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. After hours emergencies contact the Algood Police Department at (931)537-6830.
City of Algood Public Works – Sanitation
The Algood Sanitation Department is responsible for trash pickup in commercial and residential areas. Flammable, combustible, explosive or hazardous materials cannot be placed in containers for regular collection. For information on how to dispose of these types of materials contact the Clean Commission at (931) 528-1180 or Putnam County Solid Waste at (931) 528-3884.
