Algood has partnered with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) to offer protection to residents for the water service lines that connect their homes to Algood systems. Many homeowners are unaware that repairs and replacements to these lines are their responsibility and are not covered by basic homeowners insurance or by Algood.
It is crucial for residents to understand that the coverage plans are completely voluntary. You do not need to sign up for a plan, but we are making them available because they are a good option for many homeowners who are concerned about the costs associated with an unexpected home repair that can run into the thousands of dollars. The plan is administered by SLWA, no public money is used to administer or promote the program, and there is no cost to Algood in offering the voluntary coverage plan to residents.
Residents are encouraged to review the plan details thoroughly. You may also want to check on whether similar coverage is available through your homeowners insurance. One significant difference between the SLWA plans and the typical homeowners insurance option is that insurance plans usually require a deductible, while the SLWA plans carry no deductible.
Founded in 2003, SLWA has partnered with more than 850 leading cities and municipalities in the U.S. to provide repair service plans that offer homeowners peace of mind and convenience. SLWA’s program is endorsed by the National League of Cities and the company is accredited by the Better Business Bureau.
