Do you know what the Algood Water System CCR even stands for? The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is an annual report required by the state that tells you what is in your drinking water. Each year the city is required to prepare and release the report to its’ consumers listing information about the source and levels of any contaminants that could be in the water. The water you are drinking is very important to us and we want you know how we are doing. It takes a lot of great people to keep your water safe and tasting great. Thanks to the Algood Water Department employees as well as the Cookeville Water Plant staff for a great job maintaining great water for us at the tap. You can click here or come by city hall to view the Algood Water CCR. The corrected report has our actual numbers that are lower than previously reported. The report will also be run in the Herald-Citizen on April 3, 2024. Feel free to call with questions at 931-537-9545. And by the way, we passed all requirements set forth by the state for safe drinking water! Drink up!
